Reggie is thrilled and absolutely tickled pink to be featured today on David Patrick Columbia's New York Social Diary, a great honor indeed. Mr. Columbia enjoyed my recent essay on my "Top Ten (Little) Rules for Keeping It Together" and thought that his many readers just might enjoy reading it, too, and so he has re-posted it today on his weekly "House" feature.
Needless to say, I am over the moon!
New York Social Diary is a daily "must read" of mine, and I encourage you, Dear Reader, to link over to it and read through its many delightful features, particularly if you are not already familiar with it. But then, Reggie couldn't possibly imagine how any of his readers wouldn't already be familiar with NYSD!
Thank you DPC.

Congratulations on the NYSD repost, it is quite the honor!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the insightful and wonderful posts!

Well deserved praise!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Great news!

I just thanked Mr DPC for bringing you on board. I just browsed and came upon that delightful Cary Grant story...and as for your little rules?...you're quite right-I'll never again leave the house unshaven.
ReplyDeleteThese are all fantastic rules to live by! That’s so exciting that you are on New York Social Dairy!!! I adore reading the “House” features. My old boss does the “Across the World” DC features. One of my pet peeves is making the bed…I could never get into an unmade bed after a long day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration. xx
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWell done, you! I love DPC and was thrilled to have a chance to meet him at Alexa Hampton's book signing at John Roselli last fall! I love how he's taking advantage of the great blogs to enrich NYSD!
ReplyDeleteGo Reggie. All is right with the world. Except that Max reminded me my Belgians ARE NOT HERE YET. I will remedy that soon.
ReplyDeleteOf course Mr. Columbia enjoyed your essay, how could he not?
ReplyDeleteNYSD is a great read and now it's even greater.
Delightful!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and well deserved, Reggie. It is a great piece!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the inclusion in the NYSD today! (And I confess I have now been paying attention to what's left undone in the kitchen before I go to bed at night.) You and the Down East Dilettante are really getting the recognition you deserve for your wonderful posts. All the best-
ReplyDeleteCHEERS, Reggie!
ReplyDeleteAnd my glass is held high to Boy Fenwick, as well. Without Boy's exquisite photography and beautiful styling, we'd not be saluting the success of "Reggie Darling" today.
How fabulous! The recognition is much deserved.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Reggie. A fan of NYSD and your blog. I can happily report to being on top of most of the ten. What a wonderful feature. I couldn't agree more. Excuse me while I go tend to the wine glasses.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I think that's great and love it when you do these posts!
ReplyDeleteDear Reggie, that's fantastic and very well deserved xx
ReplyDeleteOh dear me, pretty soon it's going to be... we knew him then! congrats,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Now that I think about it, YOU + NYSD makes perfect sense! You should really be a regular contributor! LOVED your article. Feel so strongly about everything, I am Felix to my husband's Oscar, so its always an uphill battle over here, except when it comes to my car, its not that I don't agree, I do...it's just weirdly always an awful mess, can't entirely blame my three kids, something I need to work on! Would love to see your opinions on the dying art of responding to an invite...as if an RSVP were optional!
ReplyDeleteStraight forward, nonsense, and a must read.
ReplyDeleteWell done Reggie!
Hello Reggie,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
RD and New York Social Diary is

Dear Readers: Thank you very much for your kind words and congratulations. I am thrilled to have been in NYSD, and most gratified that you have encouraged my efforts all along. Thank you!
ReplyDeletecongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI saw it this morning and was very happy for you.
great fit.

Belated congratulations, Reggie. I think you and NYSD are a perfect fit! And, I printed your list of rules for my two boys, in hopes that my constant nagging, er, I mean gentle reminders would be seen as having some validity. Funny though about the pin-ups on the wall in the photo of the little girl making up her bed-the fifteen year-old noticed those right away!
ReplyDeleteKudos! You look pretty darn classy over at NYSD. x
ReplyDeleteI love DPC and his Diary...you have hit the big time! And I do try to complete those same tasks every day - especially the dirty kitchen part. I hate seeing a mess the first thing in the AM!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that noticed pin-ups in the girl's room in one of the photos? Oops - just noticed T&C Mom noticed too...too funny.
And DPC loves dogs, too. Perhaps there is a meeting in the future for Pompey and DPC's ruffians?
Congratulations to you and to NYSD for having the very good taste and judgement to recognize a fun and actually practical piece when they see one!!
ReplyDeletelawdy reggie dawling-all well put, hawa ever a gentlemn shoudna speak of a lady's roots. surely you jest! now next thang ya'll be sayin is something horrid 'bout the state of her legs! gawds nightgown!
ReplyDeletelittle augury can be a little too harsh ...
ReplyDeleteThough Reggie Darling's blog is hardly the place for a lady to retort to Anon.& for Anon. to add that little rap on the wrists- I must say I think Here of All Places- Decorum and on that same point- Speaking one's mind is only what Reggie expects! Reggie always gives his opinion an we are here-to hear it. I hardly think Reggie needs defending-but I shall endeavor to mind Anon's rap in future. Little Augury is devoted to Reggie Darling-no doubt Anon. does not know that. little augury-aka hard hearted hannah.
